Since 1979, MagLite flashlights have been synonymous with built-in-America quality. Every flashlight we build represents the culmination of more than 35 years of research, development and refinement.

Anthony Maglica founded a one-man machine shop in 1955, named Mag Instrument. The company produced its first flashlight in 1979. Before long, police officers, firefighters and mechanics were raving about the tough, durable and dependable flashlight that would soon become an American classic.
